I survived. And I liked it. A lot.
It had been a really long time since I had a such a good Christmas in a nice family setting. Sometimes I had just given up during the holidays because I knew my parents weren't really feeling the Christmas jive in the air. It's been years since I've seen any decorations, or even a tree, and this past week at my fiancee's home in Nevada, there was a beautiful home filled with everything one would want during the Christmas season. It was humbling, and I'm grateful for it. I was a little nervous to meet HJK's brother and other younger sister since I hadn't met them previously. But I like them, as expected, and I can honestly say that I'm marrying into a spectacular family.
We watched movies, played games, went golfing (well, the men did while the ladies had a 'spa day'), and just did everything together. Holli, me, Holli's dad Jeff, and her sister Cassidy were all sick at some point, but nevertheless, we managed to have a good time. It was a great holiday, and now I'm looking forward to spending more time with them when Holl and I get married. I am so very blessed.
So, I'm still a little under the weather and not really doing a whole lot at work. Just catching up on some Yellow Sheets and getting the lowdown before the legislative session starts. We still have a wedding to plan, so I'm considering moving my LSAT test date from February to June. I'm not going to law school anytime soon, so there's no reason not to move it.
Well, I guess that's it for now. I should back to my 101 things list, which I hope to have up pronto.
