Holl and I are home from San Antonio! I really liked traveling this week, but man - it takes a lot out of you. It's good to be back in the Valley of the Sun with wonderful weather!
We obviously visited the Alamo, and we will always remember it. Not for the same reasons that many Texans remember it, but because we stood around for a half hour before we finally asked someone to take our picture in front of it. I mean, it's funny when I think about it because I'm usually willing to ask, but for some reason I got totally timid. Holli is naturally timid, so we just sat there and "admired" the Alamo until a nice couple finally agreed to take out picture. We took theirs in return - fair exchange!

We also hit the Riverwalk and ate out both nights we were there. I explored a lot of the city before Holl's flight came in, and we went and saw a little more together after I had completed my Presidential Management Fellowship assessment.
The PMF assessment was a little - no - quite a bit more intense than the New York PMI Assessment. I don't want to divulge too much information, but I made a blunder on one part that made me think I was surely not going to be chosen (with regard to the fact that it is already a very intense competition). However, I did very well in my other exercises, and I think I could have potentially redeemed myself. I really don't know what will come of it. If I get it, hooray; if I don't get it, well...who knows? I really want it, but I have to accept the fact that I might not get it, and I'll have to choose another option. In any case, it was a good experience. There were only seven other semi-finalists there: three from UT-Austin, one each from Texas A&M, Rice University, University of San Diego, University of Dallas, and me from ASU. The whole group was quite impressive, and getting to know them alone makes me think that I will most likely not get this fellowhip. They were awesome.
Anyway...enough for now. We're tired, and we need some sleep.
For those of you who read this regularly: Thank you!
For those of you who are stalking me: Well...thank you, too!

I love your pictures. Holli missed you so much while you were gone. I tried to take care of her on her birthday, but I'm just not an adequate substitution for you!
thanks for sharing the pictures! and i'm with amy--i always read your posts. i wish she'd keep hers up--her little guy is adorable! but i can relate with not having much to say. you'd better keep blogging or we won't have anything to read! :)
Thanks for taking care of my dear wife, TK!! I know, I know...so we made a big deal about spending our first night apart, but truth be told - I couldn't sleep at all!
