Good try, but we all know that babelfish is a little flawed! A better way (and probably more common way in Italy) would be:
"Non vengo da Milano, ma voglio dire ciao anche a te."
"Voi" is somewhat too formal (like speaking to the Pope), but it's used to address more than one person, and strangely enough, the form that is used in a lot of Italian voice overs (i.e. Disney movies)
That's why I said I stole it from babelfish -- I could tell the voi was formal, but I didn't know what would be used instead. I was going to guess 'ti', but that would have been wrong.
