Another list...

I had a friend send me a list - one that I will post the answers to here, but not pass along (you can do it if you want to). But many of the categories were inappropriate (sorry, K) - so the list is small. It's a list of what you would do if you had the chance to do "it" over again. Enjoy.

College: Reed College in Portland because it’s so weird and eclectic. Occidental College in LA because it’s a good school not too far away from home. St. John’s College in Santa Fe for the same reason I chose Oxy or…BYU, because evidently there’s some unfilled hole in your soul if you don’t go there...

Major: Economics, Engineering, or Materials Science. I still would have chose public affairs or public policy as a graduate degree.

Residence: I, for the life of me, cannot envision living anywhere else but Arizona, but New Mexico, Southern Utah or Oregon could come in at a close second.

Vehicle: Nissan Xterra or Honda Ridgeline. I have to sit up higher, so there will be no cars in my future, and I think I’m tiring of my truck.

Vacation: New Zealand. Everywhere I’ve been is in Europe (Spain, France, England, Italy, Albania, etc). Another continent or area of the world would be nice.

Profession: Author. There’s nothing more I enjoy doing than putting my words down – I just can’t muster enough of them for anything interesting.

Hobby: Exercise. Yeah, those who know me know there’s no explanation necessary.

HS Prom: Wouldn’t change any of the dates, but I was Junior Class president, and I would have changed that. Then I wouldn’t have been pestered every two seconds by my classmates. Then I would have had more fun.

HS Activity: I would have continued to play football and possibly held on to Mock Trial for my Senior year. By the time I reached my Senior year though, I was pretty much only involved in Academic Decathlon and Track (shot put and discus, which were both laughable), and not to mention that I was fully concentrated on getting the hell out of St. Johns. I should have quit Jazz Choir and Band as well...my teachers (married at the time) gave me an "F" apiece in one semester or the other in my Senior year because my absences were so bad.

First Kiss: I wouldn’t change the person (unless, of course, I had known my wife then), but most people don’t get sad when they think of their first kiss. And, most people’s first kiss haven’t committed suicide at such a young age.

First date: Well, this one is interesting. My first real date was actually before I was supposed to be dating. So, my first date post age 16 was...holy cow...I can't even remember. Anybody out there want to refresh my memory? High school chums...Amy, Steve, Carol...do you remember?

John!!

I am going to go out on a limb and say that your first date was Satya Pember??? Like I said, I think that was it but am not 100% sure. Does that refresh your recollection? --ST

Hmm...I don't know about that. I know I had a thing for her way back when, but I don't think we ever actually went out. But maybe...keep thinking, Steve. Your memory is probably better than mine.
