My recent post detailing the allegations against former Arizona Students Association Executive Director Maceo Brown have drawn some very interesting responses. Some of your comments have not been appropriate to post in the comment section. I would like to address some of your comments.
1.) I have absolutely no intention of trying to become the next ED of ASA. The current acting director, Serena Unrein, is someone I trust and someone who is equally dedicated to providing a strong voice for students at the legislature. She is capable of the job if she decides to pursue it, and she would have my support (for what little it's worth). There are also many other individuals in the Arizona public affairs ring who would do a good job. It is my hope that a high-caliber person, either external or internal, will be hired to take on the challenges that face ASA. I thank the initial Anonymous poster who lauded me, but this is not an opportunity for me to tout myself as a Moses for Arizona students. In fact, my time has come and gone. I'm no longer a student leader, many have voiced their opinions that they have no further need for my services, there are some people involved that I would have difficulty in working with, and frankly, I am just not interested. I have found another avenue of interest that will most likely take me out of state next year. So, thanks, but no thanks.
2.) I received a handful of negative comments, only one of which I posted. One of the main reasons is because this poster seemed level-headed, and refrained from using terms like "f***ing liar" that were found in other posts. My only question to you is, how am I a liar? I am only regurgitating info from ASU's student government and ASA itself. I even went so far to say that I did not want to further incriminate Maceo - because I knew that it would be a hit to his FAMILY (I'm not heartless - I know it hurts) - but I also think that if he is guilty, he must face the consequences. I would be this adamant about it if a relative or friend was in a similar position. I believe in justice and mercy, but it is clear that you solely want mercy, and I want justice if it is due. "Larry" posted a comment that if his name is cleared, I would retract any comments that allude to Maceo's guilt. I am here to affirm that I would. Should he be found not guilty, I will remove all posts, comments, and even issue an apology. I'm not above that. But most signs do point to his guilt.
3.) We're all judgemental people. I hate these kind of people, but unfortunately, I tend to be one in situations such as this. I recognize that nobody is perfect. I know I certainly am not exempt from this. But everytime we call someone out for judging others, we're merely involved in the same, lame practice. We will see what the facts say here on out, but some facts have already been revealed. And finally, I'm not just sitting back an judging him. In my nearly four years of student service at ASU, I have always taken an active role in promoting student success, activity, diversion, and welfare. On top of that, when anyone spoke ill of Maceo, I stood up for him and ASA. I worked for students for a very, very small price, and often, I worked for free. Maceo had a salary, an office, etc...and now we're questioning whether he stole $200,000. I'm sorry if I offended the 2nd Anonymous poster, but weigh those factors on a scale, and tell me I have no right to be upset, or at the very least, concerned. With all due respect, I have every right to be upset about the occurence, whether Maceo took the money or not. Regardless, the students' money is still gone. And besides, don't be too upset at one student for what he has to say...maybe you should have a look at what the organization has to say.

Very interesting post. You responded very well (and quite succinctly, might I add). I read the other student's comment on the link you provided. I commend you for standing your ground and continuing to believe in what you stand for regardless of the circumstances.
On a side note that is totally unrelated, I appreciate and valued your comments greatly regarding "United 93". I have responded back and forth on various comments to my blog.
