Alas, I let my head get in the way...again. Jay is right...it's TOSHIBA that I should really be upset with. But thanks to Eden and Jay and Shauntel, I think I will regain some sanity and lessons learned in computers.
I really do want my laptop back, and I really do want all of my iTunes songs back too. But knowing the way Apple operates, I doubt I'll get them back.

you could pay them like $200 and apple will try to recover your data for you.
if you want, when you get it back you can bring it over and i will share some itunes with your new hard drive.
Yeah, I doubt I'll be paying Apple any money anytime soon. But I'll definitely take you up on your offer since I KNOW you have good music...
one time my hard drive failed and i lost many things. it is a v. painful thing to deal w/. it is good that you have a loving wife and a network of friends to act as a support group in your time of loss.
