While I'm very happy that the Suns smashed Dallas last night...
...I'm quite amiss as to why Brian Grant NEVER plays. Come on folks...big Irishman Pat Burke even played, but no Brian Grant? What gives?

the problem is not so much that brian grant is not a good basketball player. because he is in some ways not so bad. but the real problem is that brian grant cannot jump or move his feet in any way. he pretty much has shoes full of lead. this leads to an inordinate number of three second violations and results in a lot of offensive rebounds and putbacks for the other team. these are huge problems in competitive basketball.
What was EVEN better was that the Suns announced that Raja Bell would be in the lineup RIGHT BEFORE the game! Now, that is Mind Games 101 and it worked!!
GO SUNS!! 2 down, 6 more to go until the NBA Title is where it rightfully belongs. YES, I am still picking Phoenix to win the NBA Title (as they have been my original pick since the beginning of the playoffs). Why wouldn't I?
Steve - I admire your bravado in predicting the Suns first title. I am there with you, but lag a bit in the fact that Dallas will be their biggest hurdle. The Suns get no respect, bottom line. However, I am fully confident that we could beat Miami - even with Wade and Shaq - and win our first NBA championship. However, should the Suns not win, I think Dallas could pull it out. Call me crazy, but I'm just not a fan of the Eastern Conference...
The Suns can beat anyone. I think that this Series is anyone's game but yes, Dallas is Phoenix's hurdle to the throne. The Western Conference is the dominant conference in the league, and I am still sticking with Phoenix to win. Even if they do not by some chance, then Dallas could pull it out. Phoenix's only improvements they need is rebounding and points in the point. They can (and have) win in Dallas and will need at least 1 more win in Dallas. We can easily pummel Miami in the NBA Finals (and did so masterfully during the regular season) and I along many people am ready to see Phoenix welcome home the NBA Title for the first time. :-)

go suns.
I would have figured that he had more weight in his hair than his feet, but I guess it's all the same...
