meme??

I discovered this "meme" on my friend James livejournal. I found it quite entertaining, so I am going to partake. Here goes...

1. If you were run over by a truck right now, would you be ok with your own death? Not really. What if the truck didn't quite get the job done? Then what?

2. Do you think it at all strange to begin a meme written to yourself with a question about your own death? Well, it could be, but at least it's original.

3. If you could have dinner with the remains of any dead famous person, whose remains would you have dinner with? I almost wanted to say Lenin, just because his remains are probably the best preserved remains in the world (unless you count Cher - she still moves and talks, and sings, and does multiple farewell tours). But I would have to say Woodrow Wilson.

4. Do you think this meme has taken a turn for the worst with these questions about dead people? No. I see dead people.

5. What is your favorite movie right now? My favorite movie right now is the same one it's always been: Caro Diario by Nanni Moretti. If you can get a hold of it, I would suggest it.

6. What song(s) have you had running through your mind/itunes playlist a lot lately? Hmmm..."Long Train Runnin'" by the Doobie Brothers, "Galvanize" by the Chemical Brothers (stupid Budweiser commercial) and..."Gimme Some Lovin'" by the Spencer Davis Group.

7. What's the deal with Neil Diamond? Well, he finally cut his hair. At least for his brief appearance in "Keeping Up With The Steins." Also, he sings "Hava Nagila" very well.

8. What are your favourite European soccer clubs? Hmm...Manchester United used to be. But I've always liked Fiorentina, even though they're not altogether that great. Barca and Real Madrid, maybe? Lazio?

9. Do you prefer creamy or crunchy peanut butter? Well, either, really.

10. Name one record you picked up in the last month. Errr...yeah. I haven't, I don't think. Ryan Adams and the Cardinals "Jacksonville City Nights" is probably my newest and that was a while back. However, The Raconteurs and Jeffrey Focault's newest just hit the top of my list.

11. Do you think these pants make my butt look big? Hmmm...this is tricky, because I don't know who originally asked this question, but I'll answer with a line from "The Pest" starring John Leguizamo, "No, Malaria, your fat butt makes your butt look big."

12. What is one nagging regret you have in your life? It's not nagging, per se...but one that resurfaces every now and then is where I decided to go to college. Undergrad sucked, but I truly liked my master's program.

13. If you could be anywhere other than where you are or Cambodia, where would you be? Well, I certainly can't choose Cambodia, now can I? Deprive me from seeing Phnom Penh, will you? Uh, I'd rather be eating a gelato and watching the ocean in Portovenere, Italy (with Holli, of course).

14. What is your favorite two-man white boy blues band from Akron, Ohio? The only famous people from Akron I know of are Burt Reynolds and Chrissie Hynde from The Pretenders.

15. What is your favorite Beatles song and why? "Get Back." Probably because it mentions Tucson, Arizona and Billy Preston played on that track. Rest his soul, he just died today in Scottsdale. Weird.

16. One legged woman? Oh, you mean Eileen, the waitress at IHOP?

17. If you could kill any celebrity without any repercussions, moral or otherwise, who would you kill? Multiple "pseudo" celebrities. Definitely Paris Hilton and more than likely, at least half the cast of "Laguna Beach." Overdramatic, bratty, rich kids.

18. Name one non-scriptural book that you plan on reading multiple times throughout your life. The Miracle Life of Edgar Mint by Brady Udall, We by Yevgeny Zamyatin, and probably the entire Harry Potter series.

19. Name one secret ambition you have. Writing a book. And publishing it. And selling it. And having people enjoy it.

20. If you could acquire one talent overnight while you sleep, what would you choose? I would want to be able to sing. Well, that is.

21. If you really want to acquire the talent in #20, why don't you just work at it until you've got it down? Fear. Duh. Oh, and lack of time.

22. Why do you think people like these meme things? Deep down inside we all like to talk about ourselve a little. Even if it's just a little.
