SCHOOL IS OUT FOR THE FREAKIN' SUMMER

Ahhh. It's a nice feeling. No more finals. No more late night Thursday classes. No more unorganized teachers. No more bosses jumping down your throat like my mother usually does because friends are coming to say "hi" to me at work. It's a nice feeling. I love the summer because of the awesome relief of stress that I experience (until summer school starts in June, that is). I love summer movies. I'm a little late on seeing the new X-Men movie, but no one asked me to go, so I guess I'll just go see it alone. I'm disappointed in myself for that...a movie with Famke Janssen, and I didn't see it immediately!! What am I thinking? I would've taken a date, but dating is overrated (I'll eat my words someday, I'm sure). Even Famke thinks dating is dumb:

“I’ve never dated. I’ve always just had boyfriends. And I guess I’m pretty lucky because, from what I understand, dating sucks. Although it seems like it’s pretty good for stories. Sometimes I think people date just so they can have a good story to tell about the loser they went out with once.”

Gee, Famke, I'm glad you're giving guys like me a little hope. There goes summer dating. Summer kind of sucks because all of my friends are gone, and I usually have to think of creative ways of entertaining myself. I think I do a good job of it, though. A prime example would be during Cinco de Mayo, or as I like to call it, "Mexican St. Patrick's Day"...you know, they're both meaningful days, it's just that no one knows the meaning so everyone just ends up drinking a lot. Alas, I digress. Anyway, while my amigos were out getting hammered, I had to study for a big test. But, as usual, I got bored, so I decided to liven up things a bit. I cranked up some Mariachi music (yes, we own some) and ate spoonfuls of pico de gallo and margarita salt to keep me awake. Grade A self-entertainment, let me tell ya.

So, is there a moral to the story, you ask? Not really. Those of you who know me will understand why...I just don't make sense. But hey, I smile a lot when I'm happy, so there's a least one legitimate correlation for you.

Summer is here, so let's enjoy it to the fullest. All of the travelers will have a splendid time - Elizabeth F. in London, Matt S.and Celina in Paris, Matt H. in Italy (now that one I'm REALLY jealous about), K-Bone in Romania and Elizabeth M. in Cyprus. You guys are lucky. Take a lot of pictures.

Go see some movies...especially The Matrix: Reloaded. I'm stoked for today's release. Spend some time out by the pool (with SPF 70 if you're in AZ). Study if you're taking summer classes. And last, but not least, if you're from St. Johns, Arizona...get your butt back up there for Pioneer Days so I can see you!!

HAVE A GREAT SUMMER!!
