POTPOURRI

I don't really care for the smelly, leafy stuff. It just happens to be my favorite category on Jeopardy -- even though I tend to do better in catgories like "U.S. Presidents" or "World Cities."

Speaking of Jeopardy, I am in big-time study mode, as I will be trying out for Jeopardy in January! Cool, huh? Well, I don't know that anything will actually become of it, but I'm excited to give it a try. Wish me luck.

In other bits of news:

:: I am working out with a personal trainer on a regular basis, and am seeing results after only a month! I have lost inches (note the plural) in almost any place you can measure me. I really hope I keep this up. I need to lead a healthy life!

:: For the first time in my life, three different employers are vying for me. My current employer is trying to keep me while two others have laid some decent offers on the table for me. Seven months of unemployment was painful. Modesty is out the window - I deserve this.

:: I made it to the semi-finalist phase of the Presidential Management Fellowship for the Class of 2006. I'll be headed to an assessment center (most likely San Antonio or Washington, D.C.) to see if I make the finalist stage, and then hopefully I can secure some position with a federal agency for the next two years.

:: I love my wife.
