So, some folks have inquired as to whatever happened with my job situation. Well, I'll be happy to provide that answer, and I hope you'll understand why I present it in such a condensed manner.
The political non-profit job didn't pan out. In short, they wanted me to work for free, and I wasn't about to have that. I was patient for a long time, but it was evident to me that my rank on the totem pole had taken a nosedive south. In effect, I think they didn't have the cahones to tell me that they screwed up, or made a wrong decision - probably because they had already caused me a job with another place.
Well, I went back to my friend, DJ, at the state agency, and asked him if they had hired someone, and they had, BUT, that they needed someone else. So, they have now offered me a position, and I will be starting very soon!
I am going to continue on with my research position until the project ends while working with the state IT agency - so this will inevitable increase my work hours, but will also increase our income a bit as well. The time has finally come! I am working full-time (and then some) again!
