:: I've been sick off and on for the past week. Who knows what now, but that couple of weeks reprieve I got was pretty nice (read: extreme sarcasm and slight bitterness).
:: On a whim, I decided to shave my head. OK, well, not completely...but it is a buzz cut. I'm losing hair left and right as it is, so I do see why it would matter. I wish I had hair like Jay.
:: My friend Ed Ableser was recently appointed to the Arizona State Senate to fill Harry Mitchell's spot in LD17. Way to go, Ed! I kind of helped him in his '04 race. He'll be running for a seat in the AZ House of Representatives in November, whilst Harry Mitchell takes on incumbent J.D. Hayworth for the seat in congressional district 5 (which is my district). I think that with Mitchell's political history in the area, Hayworth is about to come against the biggest challenge of his career.
:: When I played football, I never got to put that black gunk under my eyes. I'm a little disappointed about that. I'm also disappointed that my then-HS prinicpal and assistant coach threw me over a bench at half-time once. He was trying to motivate me by telling me to "get my fat a__ through the line and make a tackle." In all reality, it embarassed me, but it worked...kind of. During the 2nd half, the opposing team's QB lobbed the ball in the air and I caught it. My one and only interception. We won the game with a touchdown.
:: I boycotted football my junior year and opted for soccer instead. Big mistake. Big, big mistake.
:: I'm exceptionally proud of the fact that I did mine and Holli's taxes with TurboTax last night. I have Jay, again, to thank for pointing me in the right direction.
