Google me, part 2

A few additional tidbits of information I found when using Google, and some clarifications on things people have contacted me about...

My last name isn't Ronk...it's Ronquillo. An old friend started calling me "Big Ronk" a few years ago, and with some people it stuck. With the exception of family and a few friends, I've rarely gone by my birthname. So, for all of you who've written me asking what branch of the Ronk family, I'm sorry to disappoint - including you from Norway. My next door neighbor is Norwegian, though.

I'm not Filipino. You can find quite a few Ronquillo's on the internet...and in the Philippines. When it comes down to it, we all originate from Spain. There's a small town called El Ronquillo in Andalusia - in the Sevilla province, I believe. Ronquillo has something to do with snoring (roncar = to snore).

I'm not a Park Warden, Detective, or attorney - though gentlemen in Louisiana and Texas who share my name are. My branch of Ronquillo's has been in Arizona well over 100 years settling near the San Pedro River in the small community of Redington. You'll find others in Tucson and Benson who we're related to - my dad's immediate family lives in or near Oracle. I'm actually starting to get interested in my dad's side's geneology again. The most distant generation I know of is my great-grandparents, Ramon Ronquillo, born in Redington, and Candida Duarte, born in Tucson. So, should somebody with more information on these folks read this, let's chat.

My dad and grandfather are both named John as well, which has been a nightmare at times. I've actually been hassled by bill collectors for things I've never been involved in. So, Dad and Papi, pay up. And if it's the other John Ronquillo's in the world (meaning in Texas, Florida, Louisiana, West Virginia and New York) - quit ruining my credit score. Thanks.
