So, after 10 days and many nudges to post something, eccomi qua (Here I am).
Unfortunately,I must say that the life and times of John C. Ronquillo have beenrelatively uneventful, and that Holli's blog has been much morefruitful, as well as amusing, to read.
What I can tell you are a few random snippets of life...
1. I was at Costco the other day and as I was leaving to load the junk inmy truck, I noticed an elderly woman struggling to fit a cooler andsome rugs into her car. I watched a more than able younger woman passand a group of three guys pass before I finally went over and startedhelping her. You can't imagine how grateful she was. She was on theverge of tears for a simple favor. "It's nice to know that there arestill good people in the world," she said. "I was beginning to wonder where they all went." Well, sometimes I do too, but I know they're re somewhere.
2. Nah, I guess that's it.
Hopfully, I'll have more to write soon. Maybe about my mental political struggle. I don't know if I've mentioned this, but I've been thinking of switiching my registration to independent because of my general disgust with both parties. It would also appear that I cannot be a moderate Republican or a conservative Democrat without facing the wrath of party hacks who have nothing better to do. While I essentially feel a little betrayed by the Dems I've put my faith in, it seems as if Republicans would welcome me with open arms. Yet, I can't. I've been disillusioned by politics in general and miss the days of true public servants. I make no apologies for the lack of faith I have in our president. I have given him the benefit of the doubt on numerous occasions, and those days are long gone. I have a hard time imagining what Dem could take his place, but I know there are a few R's out there that I would vote for. Anyway...another time.

Well its about damn time! LOL
That was very chivalrous of you to help the elderly lady with her cooler. I am not surprised by your random act of kindness. It just goes to show how that instead of your heart pumping blood, it pumps gold. :-)

Yeah I know what you mean about the political party confusion. And old W.'s latest wisecrack: "If you can't read, you can't read a newspaper" ( uh, duh)... or him insulting a blind news reporter... chivalry is dead in the oval office, but obviously not in your house. Thank heavens.
