Hiatus, pt. 2

So, the last time I used the title "Hiatus" was for the reason I had been absent from the blog. This time, it will be the reason why I will be absent from the blog.

I am taking the GRE (again) on August 9th and I am shutting down just about everything so I can spend every free minute I have studying. I need to be serious about getting into a good school for my PhD, and therefore, having better scores than I did two years ago would be of great benefit. So, if I'm slow on e-mails or responding, or just altogether not communicating - I apologize.

I've decided on applying to several schools: Indiana University, UC Irvine, University of Georgia and University of Delaware are a few of my top picks. And my entire list has quite a range: not all top schools, but definitely not bottom feeders either. I know some of you were wondering where I was applying, so there are a few of the schools. You may have noticed that I have not mentioned any Arizona schools.

Anyway folks, I promise I will be back on August 9th with all sorts of things to talk about (hopefully a good GRE composite will be one of them.)

OK, as long as you promise to be back. I will miss your blog...

And yeah, I can just talk to you in person, but sometimes reading is good, too.

Hey John. I'll more than likely end up taking the GRE sometime in the near future as well, so I can feel your pain. Sometimes I wonder if it'll be worth it to go through all the trouble of getting a PhD, but then I think 1) I'll be able to make everyone call me Dr. Badger, which will make nearly everyone I meet feel inferior to me and 2) Someday I'll be able to dive into a swimming pool of cash a la Scrooge McDuck. So there ya go. Anyway, good luck with all that.
