I think I need to light my aroma candles in my office for a minute. Right now it smells like enchiladas (not a bad smell by any means) but one that I'm tired of smelling today.
So, today was part 2 of our conference, which included a lunch on the House lawn. We invited legislators and their staff, but clearly, the interpretation of "staff" was used loosely, because they flocked, en masse, to our tent and nearly cleaned us out. In fact, they did clean us out because we ran out of food. We ended up flying half a block to La Canasta to get an order of 200 enchiladas, rice, beans, and lettuce for some hungry (and thankfully patient) legislators.
But overall, it was a success. I had a chance to see several friends, which is always nice. But all I can say is that my ankles are killing me, and I'd better be a top-walker on our little walk across America site...
