SUCCESSFUL UPDATE!!
Geez, for about the past month I've been trying to get in here and give an update or seven, but for some reason, I wasn't given access! Argh...
Alas, here is my first update of the New Year. In case you weren't paying attention, we are now in the year 2004. Holy crap...really? OK, maybe I wasn't the one paying attention.
I would suppose the most exciting recent news is that friends Michael Komenda and Jennica Dewitt were wed yesterday in the Mesa LDS Temple. Fellow blogmeister Matt Schuh and I attended a very nice reception and were privy to see the happy couple. All I remember doing is shaking hands, giving hugs, and repeating to myself (and Matt), "I can't believe Jennica and Mike are married!" I said that in a good way of course. Congratulations to you! May your lives be filled with health and prosperity, and of course a whole new generation of Komenda wisecracks...we love ya.
This winter break has proven to be more eventful than I imagined. My Microeconomics course has been quite interesting and entertaining, yet also time consuming and demanding. I haven't even traveled anywhere during the break. I didn't even go to St. Johns or Tucson for Christmas...and that's a first. However, the holidays were very nice, and I spent my New Year's in great fashion with great people. I volunteered at the Fiesta Bowl festivities with my father on the day of the game, and was fortunate enough to get tickets. I phoned Schuh with about 30 minutes before kickoff, and we made it and enjoyed it. I really didn't want to root for Ohio State (some of us don't forget the '97 Rose Bowl versus ASU), but we were situated right by the OSU fans. In all reality, they were fun to sit by and high five after scores and great plays. I must admit that Schuh and I secretly wanted a tight game, and wanted Kansas State to score just so we could see their mascot do the silly little KSU dance. I found it to be frighteningly hilarious.
The next week will be the last free one before I start my final semester of college. I'll finish Econ, go to "Camp State Press" before I start writing columns, and have another PAB retreat before my term starts winding down. It should be fun.
Until then, keep checking back...hopefully it'll be updated more!!
