Virgin Margaritas, chase my fatigue away...

Well, Duncan, OK, you have successfully evaded my question for two weeks, and you still remain a mystery to me, and maybe I don't even know you at all -- I was just under the impression I did. And I should note that I shouldn't be mistaken for my grandfather, John P. Ronquillo, or my father, John A. Ronquillo, as I am not them. But dammit, I still have their names, and you have no idea what that can do to someone's credit score. You'd figure a company like Equifax would be smart enough to keep us separate, but they're not...SUCKAS!

Anyway, my head is full of tons of stuff. I've been working on this social impact assessment for Resolution Copper in Superior for a few weeks now, and the drive there and back is getting to me. Schoolwork is getting to me too, and it'll be nice when I don't have to do that again (more on that later). And, to top it off, I've been really sluggish about keeping drinking water in the house (our tap sucks), so I've been mixing a bit of margarita mix with the water so it doesn't taste so bad.

So, as I near the end of my master's program, my wife and I have come to the decision that I'm still probably not done with my education, but I don't know what's next. What I do know is that I either want to go to law school and get my JD, or I want to go an get a Ph.D. in Public Policy or Public Affairs. I know I would like to work as a consultant, analyst, and eventually as a professor or university administrator, so a Ph.D. would suit me well. But the law also intrigues me. I just don't think I would want to practice law for the rest of my life...maybe a little while.

SO, TO THOSE OF YOU WHO KNOW ME, I would love your feedback. What do you see as my strong points and weak points? What degree do you think would suit me better? I know you can't make the decision for me, but your help would be nice.

Anyway, I need to get back to work, or I just might die.

Ciao!

Well, I think you would excel at ANYTHING you chose to do! Your strong point are that you have many, many talents. Your weak point is that you want to keep all your options open, which isn't usually possible.

Nevertheless, I support you no matter what. JD, PhD, whichever. But I honestly see you more in a public affairs position than practicing law.

Is it so bad that I really agree with everyone else? You would be awesome in law and maybe you could do that for a little while. That'd be so fun! In the end though, I imagine you doing something in public affairs. You'd be great at a university!

Am I a conformist? Eh. Good luck with the decision!
