Faygo Original REDPOP

Some things in life are worth waiting for. Such is the case just last Friday, upon entering Hap's BBQ at 48th Street and Washington in Phoenix. The reason: a delicious lunch with buddy and fellow MPA classmate, DJ. The discovery: an amazing beverage I haven't had since I was nine-years-old.

Now, given that I renounced all caffeinated and carbonated drinks back in March of this year, it was going to be a challenge to go forth with this, but I had to. I bought two bottles of Faygo Original Redpop, and loved them. THe end result, I bought soda and brought it into our house for the first time in eight months. SO WORTH IT!

Ok, so I'm being really lofty and sentimental, I guess. But my dad said that he used to drink this stuff way back in the 60's with other sodas like Nehi - we found it at a store while traveling one time, and I had never found it since. Now, as I approach my 25th birthday, I've discovered a store no more than a mile from me that not only carries Faygo, and a barrage of other cool sodas. IS THIS THE END OF MY PROMISE? I can't afford to be weak. I should really just drink all these Faygo reds and go back to water.

But may I also make another observation. I've always been told that soda is bad for you, and that if you quit drinking it and go to only water or other natural drinks that you would lose a good deal of weight. Horse crap. I didn't. And I drink a lot of water! Eight months later, my body feels the same...but I'm not going to fall back into the soda trap. I need to give it up for good if I ever want to look decent in my life.

Anyway...enough of that...

In other news...we've fallen in love with a little Chihuahua named Joey, and Holl and I are thinking of adopting him. Think we should? I'm afraid we'll be too late, but we're still contemplating pets...we just don't know what! Ideas?

P.S. Duncan, Oklahoma...you must know me. Why won't you tell me who you are? I really don't want to embarass you, but geez...you've piqued my curiousity...so out with it.

yes! yes! yes! get a pet! it took me forever to be talked into it, but oh my goodness. i LOVE my dog! if you can afford the extra cash, go for one that's already trained. ours was just a little puppy and i would never trade the experience, but you both work and with school and everything...well, it'd just be a lot easier to not have to do the whole housetraining thing. :) you MUST tell me what you end up with! and the soda thing is crap! i rarely touch the stuff and i'm a chubbs. what the heck? so i hear you. go redpop! :D

no!no!no! don't get a dog! you live on the third floor and often, you're not home. how will the sweet dog possibly hold it all day? i love my puppy and wouldn't trade him for anything, but wait until you have a more puppy friendly abode. with much love, tk :)
